SATURDAY 24TH FEBRUARY: THE SWANSEA CANAL SOCIETY WILL BE REPRESENTED AT THE IWA SOUTH WALES EXHIBITION (DETAILS BELOW). WE WILL HAVE A STALL WITH SCALE MODELS OF OUR PLANNED RESTORATION AS WELL AS PICTURES OF THE CANAL AND ITS HISTORY. CLIVE REED, OUR HERITAGE CONSULTANT, WILL ALSO BE GIVING A TALK ON THE HISTORY OF THE SWANSEA CANAL. ALL WELCOME.

TUESDAY 27TH FEBRUARY: WORK PARTY MEETS AT BROWNSTERS CAFE, CLYDACH BETWEEN 8.00 AND 9.00AM. WORK STARTS AT YNYSMEUDWY LOCKS AT 9.15. WE WILL BE USING GRAPPLING IRONS TO CLEAR THE INVASIVE REEDS FROM THE POUND BETWEEN THE LOWER AND UPPER YNYSMEUDWY LOCKS. CAR PARKING IN THE CANAL AND RIVER TRUST CAR PARK NEAR THE YNYSMEUDWY ARMS PUB.
