Monday 11^th March: Monthly business meeting of the Swansea Canal Society at the Vadre Rugby Club, Hebron Road, Clydach at 7 p.m. All welcome.

Tuesday 12^th March: Work party meets at Brownster’s Cafe, High Street, Clydach between 8 and 9 a.m. Work starts at 9.30 a.m. in Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach where we will be continuing with bank repairs and other duties. The funeral of John Hutchins will take place at 1.30 pm at Margam Crematorium.

This week, there is an extra work party, on SATURDAY 16^th MARCH. Meeting at 10 am in the car park to Pontardawe Recreation Ground, we will be cleaning the canal around Bridge 7. There is much rubbish to remove from the canal and surrounding area. At the same time, Keep Wales Tidy is running a litter pick in the Recreation Ground. This two-pronged attack will leave the Rec sparkling!
