Sunday 17th September: Canoes & Kayaks for hire at Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach. First hire 10am, last hire 2pm. Cost of 45 minute hire: Canadian canoe £10; Raft (two canoes) £15; Single kayak £5, Double kayak £10. Booking not needed. Full details and conditions under “Canoes” on this website. Tuesday 19th September: Work Party: Those wishing to eat breakfast should meet at the Roadhouse Cafe in Clydach at 8am. Volunteers should assemble at 9am at the Buried Lock site. We will continue to clear the site in preparation for the official opening of the boat basin and by-wash on Friday 6th October Cake and hot drinks will be provided but please bring your own mug. Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st September: The exhibit in the National Waterfront Museum has to be removed to the Hebron Road store on Wednesday and then taken on tour to the Miners’ Welfare in Ystradgynlais the following day. Many strong hands make light work, so please contact Alan T. to offer your help. Saturday 23rd September: We are having a table at the History Fair in the National Waterfront Museum. Please contact Andy if you are willing and able to man the stall for an hour or two. |
