The Week Ahead: Sunday 21st – Saturday 27th September 2025

Sunday 21st September: Canoes & Kayaks for hire at Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach. First hire 10am, last boat out at 2pm so please arrive no later than 1.45pm. Cost of one hour hire: Canadian canoe £12; Raft (two canoes) £20; Single kayak £6, Double kayak £12. Booking not needed. Full details and conditions under “Canoes” on our website.

Tuesday 23rd September: Work Party: Those wishing to eat breakfast should meet at the Roadhouse Cafe in Clydach at 8am. Volunteers should assemble at 9am either Coed Gwilym Park to assist with a group hire of canoes & kayaks or at the Swansea Canal Centre in Clydach. The main task will be to clear more irises from the canal upstream of Pont John.

Saturday 27th September: History Fair at the National Waterfront Museum, 10am to 4pm. Please enjoy the fair and opportunity to catch up with the Society’s activities.
