THE WEEK AHEAD: SUNDAY 29TH JULY TO SATURDAY 4TH AUGUST 2018

SUNDAY 29TH JULY: Canoes and kayaks for hire at Coed Gwilym Park. One mile of beautiful  paddling north to Lower Trebanos Lock and about 100 yards towards Clydach. Rafts £10, cnaoes £7, kayaks £5 and £4 (SINGLES AND DOUBLES). FOR FULL DETAILS see under Canoe Hire on this website. First hire 10.30, last hire 2.30.

TUESDAY 31ST JULY: Canoe and kayak hire at Coed Gwilym Park. Please Note that the hours of opening on Tuesdays are 10.00am to 12.30am. Otherwise all details are as per above.

TUESDAY 31ST JULY: Work Party meets between 8.00 and 9.00am at Brownsters Cafe , High Street, Clydach. Our volunteers will attempt not only to man the canoe store (as above) but also  take local stone to the Ynysmeudwy Locks in time for the arrival of the Waterway Recovery Group for their summer camp and clear the  locks of surface vegetation.  If possible, we will also continue with Canadian Pond weed clearance wherever we find it.

SATURDAY 4TH AUGUST: ARRIVAL OF THE VOLUNTEERS OF THE   WATERWAY RECOVERY GROUP. THEY WILL BE BASED AT THE YNYSCEDWYN SCOUT HUT AND WORKING FOR MOST OF THE WEEK AT THE YNYSMEUDWY LOCKS. WE WELCOME THEM ONE  AND ALL.IMG_20170711_161120
