SUNDAY 27TH MAY: Canoe and Kayak hire at the Canoe Store, Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach SA6 5NS. Open Canoes £7.00, rafts £10.00, single kayaks £4, and 2 double kayaks £5.00. Full details on this website under ‘Canoe Hire’.
Tuesday, 29th May: Canoes and kayays for hire from 10.30am to 3.00pm. Details of terms and conditions are as noted above for Sunday 27th. Today there will be a unique opportunity to receive a comprehensive lesson in Kayaking from qualified instructors who run the Ponty Paddlers. This is all part of National Go Canoeing Week which runs from 26th May to 3rd June. There will be a small charge for the instruction. Tuesday 29th May: Work Party meets at Brownster’s Cafe, High Street, Clydach, between 8.00am and 9.00am. Work commences at 9.15 from Coed Gwilym Park. We will continue with repairs to the eroded tow-path banks up to the Golf Course. De-nailing of timbers also continues in the Clydach ‘Hidden’ Lock site andwe may be able to start work on building the timber tool and implement store.
