Welcome to Our New Operations Team Manager

Welcome to Our New Operations Team Manager

[singlepic id=759 w=320 h=240 float=none]

Cassie Ward will now be the Society’s first point of contact at the Canal and River Trust for any of our queries and problems concerning the Swansea Canal. Her official title is Operations Team Manager, though no-one at the SCS has any intention of carrying out surgical operations on anybody (although Alan, of course, is a qualified chemist).

We very much look forward to working with her.

I walked a small section of the canal with her on Monday and when I returned to the CRT depot I found that a new hand dryer had been installed in the ‘rest room’. If this is the sort of impact Cassie has, we will get along just fine.

The photo shows her with Rick, the CRT Assets Manager (centre) and Alan, the CRT Assets Assessor (that means he walks the canal every month and reports all the faults).
