WORK PARTY 3.3.15
We worked for the second week north of Holly Street Bridge in Pontardawe. We were joined by Cassie Ward, Operations Team Leader at CRT and Laura Parry, the volunteer Ecology Officer at CRT who was there to do an Environmental Appraisal report. This will be the last week of vegetation clearance as the nesting season is upon us. Rhodri brought us some hawthorn shoots……
…so Alan and I planted in the cleared areas where we had thinned out the buddleia. We must always ensure we replace any lost trees with native species. At the end of the day the last photo shows how the view up the canal looked in the spring saunshine.
