Work Party: Tuesday 20th February 2024

Today the volunteers were at Riverside for the first time this year. A bit wet, a bit chilly and very muddy but nothing stops the SCS crew.

Sharon and John Grav made good progress in adding to the willow and hazel hedge which was started last year. The branches of both trees are flexible enough to cut halfway through and then bend into a very secure and attractive hedge.

Alan W busied himself cleaning Bridge 8.

The main task was to continue with the the wash holes. The mix was mixed, the sacks were filled and the bags were laid. A good length of bank was repaired in no time at all. Alan T, Duncan and Mike admire the results. Paul is, as always, on hand to take the photos.

Tea was taken in the mud. Alan & Jan W baked delicious cakes for us all.

Another excellent morning’s work. Well done everyone.
