Work Party: Tuesday 28th April 2026
|
Logistical issues meant that we had to work today at the Canal Centre rather than the Buried Lock as originally planned. Nothing daunted, we quickly reorganised and set to on a day that was rather chilly and windy but dry. The gardeners tended to the flower beds and Chris M mowed around the stone barge. |

John Gw fished assorted muck out of the boat basin. Andy, devoid of photographic record, cleared to bench in the workshop. |

Alan and James secured the new tables and benches on the concrete slabs at the rear of the Centre. |

Break time amongst the triffids! Chris G provided the cheesiest scones, the lemoniest lemon drizzle cake and the gooiest chocolate cake imaginable. Superb! |

|
The border between the gravel path and the dock was cleared of scrub. Rocks were placed carefully and the gaps were filled with gravel. |

Another super day’s work, not spoiled at all by the last minute change of plans. |
