Work Party: Tuesday 9th September 2025
|
A bright and breezy morning, but the volunteers were keen to crack on as the forecast for the afternoon was for yet more rain. Most of the action took place in Coed Gwilym Park but a large group went upstream to finish removing a fallen tree. This time, a double canoe raft was used to give Gordon good access. The branches were hauled across and cut up. The debris was piled up safely on the bank. All done in time for tea! |

Jan, Chris, Martin and Dianne worked hard to titivate the flower beds. After tea, Dianne’s partner Gary helped to trim the path edges. |

Dave walked along the towpath, trimming as he went. |

Moira also trimmed along the towpath, in order to clear the way for the very busy Park Run each Saturday. |
|
Sue litter picked with her new puppy, Roxi, in tow. Not an easy task! |

Lots of filming today, to showcase what has been achieved with very substantial grants from the Shared Prosperity Fund. Sharon delivered a piece to camera. Next came a paddle. And then the film crew moved to the Buried Lock. |

Tea was taken with scrumptious cakes baked by Christina. Two significant task accomplished today and the chance to record our achievements with the SPF grants administer by Swansea Council. Well done everyone. |
