WRG AT TREBANOS LOCK; 7.8.18
THE VOLUNTEERS OF THE WATERWAY RECOVERY GROUP TRAVELLED DOWN FROM THEIR MAIN BASE AT UPPER YNYSMEUDWY LOCK TODAY TO CLEAR SOME OF THE CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF RUBBISH IN THE BOTTOM OF THE UPPER TREBANOS LOCK. THEY DID PRODIGIOUS WORK HELPED, OF COURSE, BY OUR OWN SCS VOLUNTEERS. MANY BLUE BAGS WERE FILLED FOR THE COUNCIL TO TAKE AWAY AND MUCH SCRAP METAL. I FEAR I WAS OTHERWISE ENGAGED WITH THE CANOES SO I HAVE AT PRESENT ONLY THIS PICTURE OF THEM AT THE BUFFET LUNCH PROVIDED FOR THEM BY THE SCS AFTER THEIR EXERTIONS. IT WAS A FULLY DESERVED MEAL. THEY REALLY ARE A GREAT BUNCH. THEY WILL BE BACK WORKING AT YNYSMEUDWY UPPER LOCK AT 8.30 AGAIN THIS MORNING!
THANK YOU, WRG.
