27.1.15. PONTOON DE LUXE
GORDON HAS BEEN HARD AT WORK.
Tired of the pontoon being referred to as a white elphant he has given it a make-over and added a prow to give it a hydro-dynamic shape worthy of a Leander class Americas Cup trimaran. Here is seen above banding the prow to the super structure. No, I don’t know what that means but he spent most of Monday afternoon doing it so we are very grateful.
A BOAT FOR ALL SEASONS
And mighty fine it looked in the water. Well, all right, it doesn’t but it is a great rubbish carrier and Gordon has detected an increase in speed from 2 kph to 4 knots.

Gordon has long been a practioner of the one-handed loading technique and here he gives a master class in the art. Seeing him at his best I am sometimes reminded of that great Spurs goalkeeper, Pat Jennings,as he rose majestically to take a wicked cross with one hand.
At base camp John, Andy, and Gareth remove the heap while Anna sniffs out all the discarded green doggie bags quietly festering away.
CLYDACH SECTION: THE LAST SHIPMENT
