Plenty of rain to start the day, but it slowly eased as work progressed. There was work on two fronts today:

Sharon and Chris went to Trebanos as we had been informed of a large amount of rubbish at the outflow of the piped section. It seems likely that this was caused by work to clean out the pipes. Our chums from “My Green Valley” had already made a great start and the dynamic duo soon had the job done!

The rest of the vols continued to clear the cut below Pont John. Loads more weed was pulled out as Alan, Sue & Andy removed the spoil from last week and Chris cleaned the paths behind us.

Time for tea and chat. Andy and Rowan were this week’s bakers. Our pals from Whitethorns gave us a card and a lovely box of chocolates.

Mike kept an imperious eye on the proceedings.

That’s it for 2023. The Society thanks all our friends & supporters and, most importantly, our wonderful volunteers for another year’s hard labour.

We will be back in 2024 to continue where we left off, starting on 9^th January with a work party at Pont John and our AGM in the New Inn.
