Gordon has come up trumps yet again. Or should that be dumps. Based on Newton’s laws of gravity and using only rope, pulleys, winches, and several yellow buckets, he has made it possible for excavated soil to be taken swiftly (32 feet per second per second, if I can remember my school physics) from the dizzy heights of the Lower Trebanos Locks to the verdant willow withy plantations many metres below. There, Paul, just a distant speck to the naked eye, distributes the fertile mix of silt and soil behind the living wall of goat willow holding the banks in place.

A tipping peg is in the planning stage for the Mark 2 version. This will automatically remove the contents from the bucket at the bottom. Paul has already applied for a redundancy package.
