FAMILY FUN (AND WORK) DAY AT COED GWILYM PARK; 28.8.18.

As part of the Family Fun Day in the Park the Canoe Store opened its door for public hire from  10.00 to 2.30. There was quite a remarkable turn out.

We also set up our craft stall next to the Canoe Store which was manned occasionally by some very young volunteers.

It was not all fun though. The work of laying coping stones north of the Canoe Store continued with Colin and Alan pressing on with this important task while Michelle found herself in some difficulties removing a fallen willow tree from the canoe route. That it also contained a wasps nest added to her travails! You may be able to spot her in thesecond photo below.

The wheelbarrows full of cement were ferried up the towpath while Toby cleared up the mess behind the Canoe Store. Thanks to all  the other many, many helpers too numerous to photograph on the day who added to the fun and frolics.
