OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY OF THE SUSTRANS CYCLE AND TOW PATH. 23.1.18

Tow path opening 23.1 (30)1. (Right)  Pupils of St Joseph’s Catholic School, Clydach wait to be the first to use the new 120 metre towpath through the Old Highways Depot, Pontardawe Road Clydach SA6 5NS.

3. (Below) The First Bikes proceed.  Roger Dutton from Sustrans followed by Paul        Rapsey of the Swansea Canal Society. They were so fast they were a blur! Drop your pace, guys.

4.   The towpath and cycle path is blessed by Fr. Martin Donnelly (in the centre) and Robert Davies of  St. Josephs Catholic Church, Clydach with Cllr. Robert Stewart (Cabinet Leader, Swansea Council) on the right. Alan Williams showing off the latest SCS headwear is on the left.

Tow path opening 23.1 (35)   Jade Hester and Kevin Phillips of the Canal and River Trust test the tarmac. The towpath is part of Sustrans National Route 43 (Swansea to Builth Wells)
