“Spooky” – 27th October 2024

What a glorious, sunny, autumnal day in Coed Gwilym Park for “Spooky” – our last community event on the water for 2024. Maybe thunder and lightening and swirling fog would have been more appropriate but nobody was complaining!

Volunteers ready? Never had a more scary mob of ne’er-do-wells assembled in one place.

Craft ready? Jan, Sharon and Sue were on hand to sell a selection of beautiful items, almost all made by Jan.

Boats ready? All ship-shape and Bristol fashion.

Kids ready? Yes – but one of them looks somewhat less ready than the other!

And here we go! A busy day on the water with friends and families having enormous fun {except for one poor family that capsized!}.

Another grand day out! The Society is dedicated to the maintenance and restoration of the canal but really it is dedicated to the community. We are so grateful for the support that you all give us. And, of course, the Society is privileged to have such a magnificent team of volunteers. Well done everyone!

Many thanks to everyone who gave permission to use the photos.
