“Spooky” – 29th October 2023

“Spooky” – 29th October 2023

The third, annual “Spooky” Halloween party took place on the canal in Coed Gwilym Park. Although the day was chilly and overcast, mercifully the rain held off until 2pm when the heavens opened!

We were busy all morning getting onto the water many families, all in magnificent costumes.

The witches were on hand to make sure everything was ready.

Soon families were getting themselves ready to take to the water.

Everyone had great fun on the canal, with no mishaps although some of the crews took a rather wobbly route to Trebanos and back!

Jan and her merry band of helpers had plenty of craft for sale under a gazebo and in the warmth of the Community Pavilion. They raised a magnificent £95 for Society funds.

Another superb event demonstrating the three Cs of what the Society is all about – community, community, community. The Society is so grateful to its wonderful volunteers that turned out on a rather cold day and, most of all, to all the families in their splendid costumes. We hope you all had fun. See you at Easter 2024!

Thank you to the parents for allowing us to publish photos of their kids.
