THE CANAL LOOKING SOUTH FROM THE YNYSFORGAN VIADUCT.
Dominic Byrne came across this photo of the Swansea Canal taken from the railway viaduct at Ynysforgan looking south towards Morriston. It was taken sometime in the 1960s. The A4067 now runs over the scrub ground on the extreme left of the photo and Junction 45 of the M4 occupies the land to the north of the Ynynsforgan Viaduct where the photo was taken. I am pretty sure some of the houses on the right of the picture still stand. One of the last chimneys in industrial Morriston peeks above the skyline in the distance. The canal is, of course, no more.
Can anyone add any more information about this shot?
