The Week Ahead: Sunday 9th – Saturday 15th June 2024

Sunday 9th June: Canoes & Kayaks for hire at Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach. First hire 10am, last hire 2pm. Cost of 45 minute hire: Canadian canoe £10; Raft (two canoes) £15; Single kayak £5, Double kayak £10. Booking not needed. Full details and conditions under “Canoes” on our website.

Sunday 9th June: The “Green Gathering” has events scheduled throughout the day, kicking off with a walk from Pontardawe leaving at 12:45pm and lead by our very own Mike Clarke. See the panels above for full information.

Tuesday 11th June: Work Party: Those wishing to eat breakfast should meet at the Roadhouse Cafe in Clydach at 8am. Volunteers should assemble at 9am at either The Swansea Canal Centre where work will continue to cap the wall or Coed Gwilym Park where the gardens will be tended or Pontardawe aqueduct where the fence will be painted.

Tuesday 11th June: Trustees Meeting of the Swansea Canal Society at the Community Pavilion, Coed Gwilym Park, Clydach at 7pm. All welcome. We will be using Zoom for those not able to attend in person. Click this link to join.
